Apple and Cinnamon Cookies

Apple and cinnamon cookies are a fast, delicious and nutritious dessert that can be prepared on occasions. Its ingredients are simple and available. It consists of a dough containing a filling of caramelized apples, cinnamon and walnuts. It is placed in the oven and then served.

Ingredients


    4 cups flour

    ¾ cup sugar

    ⅓ cup of yogurt

    ⅓ cup of oil

    1 cup butter

    1 teaspoon baking soda

    1 teaspoon lemon juice

    Icing sugar for garnishing

    To prepare the filling:

    4 grated apples

    ½ cup sugar

    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    ½ cup chopped walnuts


How to prepare


    Place the grated apples in a frying pan with sugar and stir over a medium to low heat until the apples caramelize.

    Add the walnuts and cinnamon and stir then turn off the heat and leave the filling aside.

    In a bowl, mix both lemon juice and baking soda and set aside.

    In another bowl, put the butter, oil, yogurt, sugar, lemon juice and baking soda mixture and stir.

    Add the flour gradually until we get a cohesive non-stick dough, then cover it with nylon and let it ferment.

    Spread a flat surface with flour, extend the dough and chop it, then put the filling in each piece and fold it, then put it on parchment paper in an oven tray.

    We put the tray in the oven at 180 heat for 20-25 minutes, until golden.

    Take it out of the oven, let it cool down a little, then decorate it with powdered sugar, so that the cookies are ready to be served.
